Not all Sims want to be good or hold an honest job. For these Sims, the Criminal Career track is the perfect way for them to earn a not so honest living. Sims in this career track can be the tough Sim on the block or the nice Sim that commits white collar crimes in the basement.

Criminal Career Overview
The criminal career is perfect for any Sim that wants to be a crime boss or a digital criminal.
Criminal Career Traits
To reach the top of the Criminal career track there are a few basic traits a Sim should have. These traits include:
- Ambitious – earns career performance 1.5 times faster
- Connections – Sims will start off at career level 4 (Felonious Monk)
- Entrepreneurial – increases the change of an early promotion
- Evil – earns career performance 2.5 times faster
- High School A– Sims will start off at career level 3 (Ring Leader)
- High School B– Sims will start off at career level 2 (Petty Thief)
- Hot-Headed – earns career performance 1.5 times faster
- Mean – earns career performance 2 times faster
The worst traits for the career are:
- Gloomy – chance of a sad Moodlet that lowers career performance gain
- Good – earns career performance 25% slower
- Lazy – earns career performance 50% slower
Criminal Career Skills
The criminal career requires up to three skills depending on what track the Sim wants to take. These skills include:
- Starter Branch
- Mischief Level 6
- Boss Branch
- Mischief Level 10
- Handiness Level 6
- Oracle Branch
- Mischief Level 10
- Programming Level 8
The main skill for the career is the Mischief skill. Reaching Level 3 in the mischief builds career performance 1.5 times faster.
Criminal Career Aspirations
The best aspiration for a Sim looking to join the criminal career is the Public Enemy aspiration. This requires the Sim to join the criminal career and reach Level 8 in either branch.
Away Actions
Away actions can help a Sim with their needs or generate Moodlets. Special career actions for the criminal career include:
- Make Connections – same as Socialize With Co-workers
- Suck Up to Bosses – Increases Charisma Skill. Lowers Work performance (Starter Branch Only)
- Intimidate Lackeys – Lowers Work performance. Offers a chance of granting a Confidence moodlet. (Boss Branch Only)
- Work on Side Projects – Increases Logic and Programming Skills. Lowers Work performance. (Oracle Branch Only)
Chance Cards
Sims in the criminal career may get one of 29 chance cards. The chance cards increase or decrease work performance. They may also give Sims a positive or negative Moodlet or simoleans.

The criminal career unlocks a few socials and interactions that will help Sims improve their skills and make money. These include:

The criminal career has three career branches. The starter branch, the Boss branch, and the Oracle branch.
Starter Branch
The description for the starter branch is:
Not every Sim wants to play by the rules. You can make tons of Simoleons and have fun, too, as an outlaw.

- Daily Task: Perform Mischief Interactions
The Starter Branch has five career levels. These include:
- Tough Guy/Gal
- Description: Every criminal mastermind needs an entry-level bodyguard with irrational anger issues. [Sim’s Name] will beef up doorways and rumble through dark alleys, keeping rivals at bay with those three little words, “Whaddayou lookin’ at?

- Petty Thief
